STRUCTURE OF TOURISM IN TAJIKISTAN
On June 1, 2016 in Tajikistan, a new e-visa issuance portal was launched, enabling foreign citizens entering the country for tourist or business purposes to fill out an electronic application and receive an electronic visa without an appearance at a consular office of Tajikistan abroad.
The e-visa e-visa system will allow foreigners to obtain a Tajik visa online, eliminating the need to queue at Tajik consulates or at the border. The new system is designed to facilitate the process of obtaining a visa to Tajikistan by foreign citizens, increase the number of tourists visiting Tajikistan, and simplify visa procedures for businessmen. We also want to save time and relieve the staff involved in the visa issuance process.
Applicants will receive their visa by e-mail, after filling out the form with the necessary information and paying by credit card online. Applicants for examining an e-visa application form must pay US $ 50 through internationally recognized electronic networks for electronic processing and, in the event of a refusal of the application, this amount is not returned to the applicant. After paying the visa fee and satisfying the application, the applicant will receive an electronic visa at the same e-mail address, which he must present when crossing the state border of Tajikistan, together with a valid travel document.
The electronic visa of the Republic of Tajikistan is valid for 90 days, but its owner can stay on the territory of the republic for no more than 45 calendar days. The electronic visa is not renewed and its holders must leave the republic within the specified period.
